When you listen to the sounds of Rafael’s ancient instruments and feel their powerful vibrations, you can sense the connection between our ancient and modern cultures, and begin to remember: we are one humanity.

Rafael believes that in a time of great opportunity for individual and global transformation, his music is a vehicle for sharing a message that educates and promotes the possibilities of human potential and the heart’s intelligence.  He knows that we all have a special gift to contribute to creation, and that together we can co-create a better world for ourselves and our future generations.

Having spent much time with indigenous tribes, and in particular the Huichol Indians of Mexico, Rafael feels a strong link to their vibrant culture, pure values, and emphasis on the connection of all people.  He hopes that his personal experiences can be a map to others, creating a bridge between those ancient cultures and our modern lives and reminding us all of the connection of our hearts.

A percentage of all Sounds of Creation proceeds go to assisting environmental efforts and indigenous communities like the Huichol Indians throughout the world.  The proceeds provide people in the indigenous cultures with opportunities they may otherwise never experience- like access to a local well, which was recently installed by Sounds of Creation for the Huichol tribe.  Prior to this well, they had been trekking 6 miles each day to and from the nearest water source.
